Marsala
2013’s Pantone Color of the year was emerald green, followed in ‘14 by radiant orchid but this year, Pantone is taking it down a notch with a more subdued choice: Marsala, and I am LOVING it. The dusty burgundy shade is a balanced mix of rustic and luxe, reminiscent of both charming cobblestone streets and robust glasses of fine italian wine. Upholster your furniture or even paint your walls in Marsala–this color is classic enough for mainstay style!

Blue
Muted colors like Marsala not really your thing? You’ll be happy to know that all shades of blue, from Indigo to Robin’s Egg, are on-trend for 2015. Blues are great for those who love color but still like to keep a traditional look. Make a bold statement in all blue with a gem-toned hue, mix it in with neutrals for a nautical look, or go glam in your bathroom a la Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Gray
There’s something comforting and cozy about gray–and when it comes to neutrals, gray is about as chic as it gets. The best thing about gray? Versatility! It goes with literally any color or decor, so it works as a great backdrop if you’re one who enjoys switching things up.

Metallic
Metallics aren’t going anywhere in 2015–can I get an “Amen!” to that?! Whether your color scheme of choice includes shades of blue, gray, or Marsala, you can use metallic accessories to amp up the elegance and sophistication in any room. Do you love an extra “wow” factor? Add metallic wallpaper to the ceiling for a dramatic look! This works well in smaller rooms with dark wall colors. The key here is “less is more.”
